Ingredients for Quick Milk Powder Peda Recipe
2 cups milk powder
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons ghee (clarified butter)
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
Sliced pistachios for garnish
Step-by-Step Instructions for Peda Recipe
- In a non-stick pan, heat 1 teaspoon of ghee over medium flame.
- Add milk and milk powder, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Keep stirring until the mixture becomes thick and creamy.
- Mix in the powdered sugar and the remaining 1 teaspoon ghee. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- Sprinkle in cardamom powder and mix well. Cardamom adds that classic aroma to pedas.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Shape into small balls and flatten them slightly to form traditional peda shapes.
- Place a slice of pistachio on top of each peda for a beautiful presentation.
- Allow the pedas to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
